110D vs. Supernova . . . for 50mah-1000mah NiMh cells

Is one more effective or better for smaller cells?

I have both but have not used the Supernova yet. The astroflight (only a year old) is not good for small cells as its display is not accurate at lower settings. I have an Astroflight micro wattmeter so I can better adjust. However the peak detector does not work this low. An example- I have a 300 mahr NiMH that I charge at 300mah. This rate will not display on the charger but does on the wattmeter. This is on slow charge mode which should work but does not.

Because of this this inaccuracy with the 110D I would vote for the Supernova.

I don't own either of them but if I may, I would like to suggest an alternative. I have been using the Tekin BC 112A. It has an adjustable current from 0-4 or 5 Amp in 10ma increments. It peaks pretty well and can do nimh. I use it to charge my 300ma Nimh to my 3000ma packs. It can do 1 to 14 cells. Only down side is if you do more than 8 cells you need a 24V input as it does not have the circuitry to convert the input voltage any higher.
