I believe they probably mean 60 watts electrical size (capacity), not physical size.
First order approximation ... take the battery voltage and multiply it by the capacity. For example, a common 3S (11.1V) 2200mAH pack would be 11.1 * 2.2 = 24Watts They must have decided how much energy can be handled by the enclosure based on a battery pack of a fixed "size" having an uncontained thermal event, based on the amount of lithium that would be present in the pack and the oxygen in the enclosure. |

A man with the same thinking as myself !
With a flow remperature of 155 °C (311 °F). along with the earlier comments by Fly Wheel it would be an interesting event . On the other hand one cannot see a concern like Venom not conducting tests to ensure they were not faced with a rush of claims following fire damage

Polycarb window is to see a lipo puffing before an event-This is not a device for charging lipo's unattended! It's a good safety item -you can shut down charger power if you see puffing and it has a handle so you can safely move it away from burnable items.

It's the perfect marketing ploy. If your battery goes up throw the whole thing out the window and let the charger get incinerated too. Now you can buy a new charger
![]() Or use a lipo sack and yank the wires and throw that out the window and still have a charger afterwards, well that is unless the charger caused the fire. |
