I flew about 6 times today. Yes, a little rain off and on but it's great to shoot the bull and gawk at awesome planes. Vendors are open as well and the food was good. I'll be out all weekend rain or shine

At least (unlike wind) rain is generally not a safety issue. So if you're hardy enough, or your plane is waterproof enough, you can go for it!

Anyone remember back in '09 when Andrew Jesky was doing his routine in the rain while we all stood around and watched?

Not worried about the rain at all. Bummer that it put a damper on the morning today, but it eventually let up and the sky got filled with planes.

I see a lot of muddy shoes today! would I fly my expensive plane in this weather? NO WAY!. I am in Tucson Arizona and as I write this we are having flash flood issues with road closures. All this mess is coming at us from Phoenix don't forget your survival suits!. My segustion is to put the tickets on a half price sale and give everyone free beer!

Looked at the radar this morning and it looks like rain for most of the morning. But that is not going to stop this crew from heading out to fly this morning. It is a gentle rain and no wind. The kids are ready for the SS combat even if the ribbons get soaking wet.

Between the rain and sick kids, I have a feeling I won't be seeing the party today.
