K2R substitute wanted
There had been several threads and questions in other threads about removing oil from balsa. K2R always comes up. I've used it in the past and it works well.
In this neck of the woods I have yet to find K2R anyplace. I've checked all the usual places like Wally World and Ace Hardware.
Has anybody come up with a home brew to replace K2R? I'm sure there has to be some kind of a concoction out there that will work.

K2R is basically a paste of diatomaceous earth. You can find the powder at a swimming pool supply. Try making a paste of it with alcohol or glycerin.
