I often feel the same way....I'd rather spend 3-4 weeks building a NEW plane than 1-2 hours fixing a crashed one

Threw together a little light viewing of some crashes from 2012. Micros, park size up to 60 size planes. Was a fun, but damaging, year! Hope someone gets a little laugh out of it.

I can see the Sir Winston Churchill backbone showing through here (Keep calm and carry on), but I must say that it might be time to find the bin. Then again, if you do try to breath life back into the bits, more power to you.

Well, here is one from the other day.... Was flying my UMX gee bee at the park, I managed to clip a tree while flying, which I am pretty sure would have caused a crash had it not been an AS3x plane.... Upon landing, I found it put a 1/8 inch dent about 2" from wing root...
I was a little bummed, but about two min later, it seemed pretty small.... I was practicing rolls, and trying to use some elevator when inverted to keep it from losing altitude. The first try looked great, then I turned and tried it again going the other direction, brain farted and I gave up elevator as soon as I hit inverted, noticed it coming down and, per usual, did what I normally do to gain altitude fast, which is full UP elevator.... unfortunately I was going pretty fast and low, so pulled it in straight down into the asphalt at full speed.... ![]() The right wing is being held on only by the flying wires, wheel pant broke in half, front crushed.... Now more good news, I picked up all the bits, and with a little glue, its good as new....ish..... well, its flyable anyway, i hope. At least the motor wasnt damaged, apparently, the rest of the plane broke its fall...

Correct. The bottom does have grey paint and black stripes but it was getting dark out when this happened and I couldn't tell which way was up. If I make another one it will be bright colors again. Good news is all electronic parts are fine and all servos and control surfaces respond.
