I land with a fair amount of throttle and full flaps for nice smooth scale rollouts.
4000mah 40C Zippys come down bang on storage voltage at 7 minutes.
I did basically the same thing with my doors, cut off about 1/2" on both angles to make it look more like the origianl.

freezing the oleo struts is really not a bad idea and they really don't function with all that fwd rake in the gear. The foam wing acts more like a spring than the spring in the strut. You would have to touch down with the strut nearly vertical (and hard) to make those oleos compress, and that generally means a trip onto it's back!

I have to disagree mate. After reviewing camera footage of mine, the "suspension" clearly compresses as it should on normal landings. Even while taxiing I have observed it in action.

I do admit that it's not very effective and is mainly for appearance, but it does work a little.

I'm using a CC 10A BEC with it's default settings. My Rx is a FlySky 8 channel. My first flights were stock without the BEC. But, I add the BEC for insurance on all my larger planes. I've not had a single issue with the landing gear before or after adding the BEC.

Hi

My fw190 draws the same current with full throttle running the standard batteries prop and motor.

Problem i have is i only get 4 to 5 mins flight time and that time leaves to standard battery down to 17% Th eguys that get 10 to 12 mins i wonder what batterys they are running .

I do find that flying at 50% power the bird is a little i feel under powered

be interested in any comments

I set my timer for 5 minutes and usually put about 40% back into my 3300mah batteries. But I rarely go full throttle most of the time I'm at half to 3/4 throttle.

With 4000mah 40C Zippy I get 7 minutes, comes down at storage level. I had to do a little bit of shaving on the sides of battery compartment for easy access. Except in loops etc no full throttle, half to 3/4 flys it scale like.

I have noticed the suspension working on mine and after fitting the HK 514 retracts it has been all fun with this bird. Flies great no other issues. I wish I didn't have 2 sets of faulty retracts sitting in my spares box and the money from the second set back. However the mrrcsoundsystem mod and the 514's are the only mods needed to make this a super bird.

Very impressed with the handling on the ground and in the air.

I retapped my 514's for 8-32 set screws as the 3mm ones are difficult to get tight enough (and stay tight)

Gday all, sorry if this is a silly question, but should the switching frequency on this plane be 8khz or16khz, the plane is completely stock apart from the esc, just trying to get her ready for the maiden on the weekend, "hopefully", Thanks.
