In my opinion, you get too much vibration when using prop savers on larger props or higher KV motors. I tend to stay away from them.

I use prop savers on all my planes, except where i have folding props. I get rubber bands from home depot, and go a little thicker than the ones they come with

I use #12 and #15 plumbing O-rings from Home Depot for the pushers but I don't use prop savers on the big motor pullers. The puller props like to come off and go shooting into space.

I have also cut surgical tubing into thicker bands that work but I think the O-rings are easier and stronger.

Ok I'll try those. These stupid bands break for no reason....

So I used a prop calculator on the 3536-1800 and supposedly the 9x6 is pulling more amps than recommended. As I don't have any way to measure, does someone know what theirs pulls?

The original motor I had on my Grim Reaper -- one of those C-3530 1700KV motors from PlaneInsaneRC -- used a 7x6 prop, as recommended. That's on 3S. Off the bat, a 9x6 prop on a 3536-1800KV motor seems too large. For reference, I use a 9x6 prop on a 3536-1450KV now, and that draws well under the max recommended amps.

Before you dig in your electronics, what a lot of people do is measure where CG should be, on the bottom of the wing, stick a couple pushpins in, and lay the electronics on the top. Try to balance the wing on the pins, and shift the electronics on top as needed, until you're balanced. Then mark where everything is, and cut the bays.

It does seem too large, could I reduce the maximum throttle setting to not exceed the max amps?

what are some good cheap 2200mah batterys? there are so many out there and i need new batterys since my other ones are either A, burnt out (like wont hold charge anymore) or B, look like then are destroyed and very dangerous to fly with) and i dont want to have three diffrent batterys to fly with anymore, and i was also thinking of maby running two 2200mah batterys in paralle, or running two 1500s or 1800s, what do u guys think? should u run the 2200s? or go smaller ones maby?

That, I do not know. I really only know the basics of my radio, so mayhaps that's possible? Why not just keep it simple and prop down a size or two?

I probably will, but until new ones come in I'm going to FPV maiden this thing Friday or Saturday
