Question
Source for German flags/Rigging Questions

I'm thinking about adding rigging to my Bismarck, and am wondering what you all use for material, and how you attach the line so it is durable with handling.

I'm also looking for somewhere to get 1/200 scale Kriegsmarine flags that are realistic. Maybe I don't know where to look, but I've found other scales just not 1/200 so far.

"Realistic" and "durable" are not compatible with "1:200" for flags and rigging. I inkjet print flags of this size on shirt-box tissue paper.

Try ''BECC'' model accessories, they have a wide range of flags in many sizes. Or try sail-rc.com

BECC:

However, their cotton AAA size flag, at about 10mm long, might look too heavy...

Thanks for the links.

What do you all use for rigging line, and how are you attaching the tissue or cloth flags to it?

1:200 rigging would be very thin... try invisible mending thread in black.

You might want to run the thread down through the deck via a tiny hole, tie it off to some elastic thread and then secure that to a block, so that the lines stay tight and don't snap if someone pokes at them. Having to re-rig a model like that would be a pain.

I highly recommend the BECC flags. Here's a 45 star American flag and the instructions + one of the flags your looking for for your Bismarck.
