Sure you wont damage anything but your rpm will be down, hence airspeed so you got to ask yourself will it pull along well enough to keep it from loosing altitude? Will probably fly but...Small wing area high wing loading, poor glide ratio, so it sinks, that prop is important to keep it up, including the pitch speed, hence fast plane, that is the idea isn't it?

We flew last night, my friend with the moray, with what we think now is a bent alloy prop adaptor for the ntm motor, so he could only cruise around or would get bad vibration, ( only one flight) so was on the elevator all the time cos it would sink at low airspeed.

I think the best flying plane I have seen here is the 6s version of olllians. Question is what is his props rpm? Up over 20,000?

Speed depends on pitch speed, and drag, doesn't really matter how you get there so long as the prop speed is up and the drag is down.

I flew my stocker around the first few times on 3S and it was fine... launched full throttle and probably flew around at about 55mph not a rocket but it climbed well and flew well above stall

enjoyable but a little boaring

buy a few APC 7X6 you are going to break them :-)

I put in a HK 60-70 amp speed controller and separate BEC in while I wait for my wing to come at the end of the week I did this in prep for adding a higher KV motor that will pull more amps

the stock 40 amp ESC has the same command set as a turnegy plush so if you want to know how to set timing and whatnot print off a sheet for a plush controller
I pulled the shrink off of the stock 40 today after running the 8X8 on 4S to see if the fets had floated at all and they did seem pretty strait ... I wasent pushing it the whole time though

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input.
Well... I'm wondering if I made a mistake with this plane. I bought it to be a replacement for my Formosa and wasn't really looking for a speed demon. Thank goodness I haven't got rid of it yet, because it looks like I may want to keep it.
I haven't flown my Moray yet so I guess that's the best way to find out. Can't wait to get some good weather when I'm not so busy so I can test it.

I want radar or doppler on the 6S bird that thing looked fast....

I run on my Moray,4S 1800TP,Cam prop 7x7...dopplered 97-98 flat!

I got the Aeronaut camprop 7x7 ,from Espritmodels..
Just checked quanity they have 10 left.

I did get a couple of APC 7X8 but I doubt they will be that good
I also have a 1800KV 35X36 motor coming thats supposed to be good to about 850 watts http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=26486 that should be fun :-) Im looking forward to flying this weekend :-) my new wing will be here tomorrow

PS have you found these props to be strong? with landings?

if u want to fly it on 3's try the 8x8 or a 9x7.5 , just look out for the dreaded torque roll

I have many flights with the aeronaut camprop 7x7,i didnt break any!
I will fly this weekend in Upstate Ny 27degrees,but im a diehard,
im gonna bring my Moray,and my RareBear,both are 4S,but the RareBear
will take the Moray easy,both are alot of fun!
