hey everyone, I'm looking to buy one of these, can anyone let me know what set-ups they've used and what they've achieved?

Cheers

It's motor, Lipo, ESc set up I'm after...

I wanted to know what speeds-Watts people have achieved!

Sweet,
Currently mine is setup with a HiMaxx 2825-5343 Geared BL Motor with Phoenix 45 ESC.
3200 3 cell Lipo,
HS65MG servos,
L1D Vario
EzOSD
500w 2.4Ghz VTX,
TS LRS.
11x10folding prop

ATM the ESC is spewing out a load of RF so it's cutting the range quite a bit. sitll get out 2KM no problem

So just of to model shop to bet some more.

I'll be doing some work on it tonight, move the elevator servo to the front, to bring the cg forward a bit, atm it's a bit of a handfull under power but glides beautilfully.

Only a few hours to go

One of the main issues to work out is the long slim nose of the Siren. But like Andy Stated there are allot of tried and true power setups..Most 480 geared inrunners would do..Ie Kontronic,Neu,Multiplex.4:4.1 gearbox..45 amp esc or better on 3S..Critical point on the Siren is the 3 piece wings,so you dont need too hot of a setup on it unless you plan on replacing wings..Some have had no issues with the wing, due to the fact they took great pains with build process..

I promise, just ONE more order

Oh, here I go again..... Just ordered my second Siren! I loved my first one, back around the #500 post range in this thread I used the AXI -10 outrunner and man, it hauled. Unfortunately, it met its demise when I popped the spoilers a bit too high in altitude and a bit too slow. Slammed the ground hard and pretty much destroyed itself as it plowed into the hard rock/clay ground.
I saw the Tower Hobbies -$30 on orders for $199 so it just so happens that the Siren plus a couple of Hitec HS65's add up about perfect! At least that's how I justify the purchase in my mind (and to my wife when she sees another model box show up) . My Axi survived, so shouldn't be a problem to outfit again.

I was sorry to see this thread dying out, so hope some of you are still flying yours. Anyway, Just got a bit excited as I pushed that 'order button'. Now waiting on the UPS man.
Happy flying,
Ken

Yes, 36mm motor fits well

6s-3000mah is about max I think. something that is 45mmx45mm by any length is the max I would car to try to squeeze in....
