GHT EZ-GIMBAL PRO - NEW 3-axis

I just received the new Grouse House Technologies EZ-Gimbal PRO and in
my estimation, it has incorporated a nice combination of upgrades to the
original EZ-Gimbal. GHT always seems to take into consideration many
of the customer comments regarding improvements in their products
design.

Nice, the only thing it is missing is a zoom function.

Do you have a weight as it is on the pictures?
That would be perfect for me as I want it front mounted - no need for a 3rd axis with a X8.

The EZ-Gimbal Pro came pre-assembled, but it was in sections that just needed
some basic putting together. Each section was individually wrapped properly
and included all the necessary screws & bolts in little individual bags.

The pitch/roll assembly continues to be reinforced with narrow CF plates top and bottom
of the two backplates and both of the side arms have been lengthened. In addition the
balance adjustment slots now have rule markings so that once your camera has been
successfully balanced, it can be removed and relaced to the exact perfect balance position.

Also notice in the photos, that the roll and pitch motors are now LD Power 4008 hollow
shaft which will make wire routing much easier and neater.

For the gimbal mount I went with the Lightweight 2-axis with the 3rd axis
upgrade, with the hollow shaft 5208H-180T motor and slip ring.

Notice that the Lightweight mount now includes an accessories tray for not only connecting
your gimbal control board but any other relevant device(video Tx, OSD, 12V UBEC etc.)

For the Interface, I thought that the 59/12mm, 4 grommet, 16 damper would be
the best option for my Tarot 690S that I have modded to be about 800mm and
lengthened the legs by 5" to accommodate this EZ-Gimbal Pro.

I almost forgot that included with the EZ-Gimbal Pro are 2 different length
camera mount plates and both have the rule markings.

Is this pro versions just upgrades on the original or does it accommodate larger cameras as well, say a gh4?

GHT has also added some other new upgrades;

1. A small CF plate on the pitch back plate for mounting the sensor.

2. The vertical slider length has been increased to allow for more depth to
accommodate some of the slightly larger cameras than the NEX, such as
the GH4.

3. The width of the camera cradle has been increased by another 2.5mm
to also allow the use of slightly larger cameras.

4. A grommeted pass through hole in the arm to route the pitch motor wires.

Thanks for the info and I look forward to more review after you have it mounted.

BTW I could not find the Pro model on their website. Is it not listed yet?

I believe that all the weights of the various gimbals and options can be found
on the GHT web site;

There will be a price as soon as the Pro is ready to put up for sale. The one PapaJeff is using is a prototype. The final one will be using a larger roll motor and larger mount for the GH4 size camera's. Just waiting for these roll motors to arrive in Australia from the USA. Said it left LAX on the 14th and still nothing. I can't move forward with this till I get them.

Sorry people!
