Thanks for the advice on the build, now if I can get past this issue I may be able to get it in the air this weekend

What Rx are you using? it sounds like the BEC might not be working correctly? is there programing instructions with the ESC? never had that issue? your ESC does have a BEC built in right?

Check your programable mixing. You might have them mixed together.

What about swapping out the esc for test purposes
I had problems with the first ESC I was using.
My motor was like only working at 1/4 speed even at full throttle
I put on a Castle Creations Thunderbird 56 amp esc
Over kill I know, but I had it around so I used it.
Now the Assassin flies great , and fast too

Thanks for the quick advice

1. It's a Hobby King Red Brick 30 amp ESC. with BEC. It came without programing info

2. I was thinking transmitter programing - but on the other wing with a different ESC all works fine

3. I'll check programing of transmitter (Hitec flash 5). If that doesn't work I'll try a different ESC

Thanks again for the help -

Every time I have used a Castle Creations esc it has just plugged in and worked with no issues.
They are programmeable but if your not using throttle brake you do not need to program them.

I had one build on a SU - 31 where the motor was doing wierd things.
Went to LHS "B"and he told me that the motor that LHS" A" had sold me was a P.O.S. He tried to sell me another motor. I went back to LHS "A" and he knew what it was immediatly. He hooked up a test esc to the plane and the motor came alive. 150 flights later this P.OS. (according to LHS "B") motor is working no problem and does everything I ask it to do.

If you like the stock red motor, you will absolutely love the rewound red motor.

There must be a programing issue with the HK Red Brick ESC I was using (it's brand new). Or it is flawed. Today I went to the LHS and purchased a Castle ESC - installed it, no problem. everything worked fine.

Weather is improving here in WNY, should be able to maiden her Saturday

Now that I think about it, I did have a ESC in a P-51 with retracts, and when raising or lowering gear the elev would move a little? got a better ESC and problem went away... I think the BEC was weak and retracts were pulling too many amps and was interfering with the Rx??
