traxxas summit new motor
I am wanting to get my 1/10th summit back up and running temporarily and the only motor I have laying around is a axial 27t could this work or is it a waist of time?

It might work, but honestly I wouldn't try it. I run the Axial 27t on my Mini Summit and it's perfect there, so I can't see it not burning out on a vehicle that is 3 times heavier.
One of the best brushed motors for the big Summit is the DeWalt http://www.robotmarketplace.com/prod...396505-21.html Here is a write up about the conversion that a Traxxas forum member did. http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/3...144vdewalt.pdf
