OC Guys,

The winds in North County SD had been nil or north with the santa ana's . Is La Paz a good bet for wind today? How is the LZ at La Paz?

This morning at seven going north on 5 there was very little wind. I don't know if it was better a little east but in Newport wind is west.

Landing zone is fine.

I just got back from Lilly's, it was really good when I got there, but after a 45 min flight it turned south. Wasnt as much fun so I left. Did get to practice multi flipping, so much fun flying the SST !

So guys, I've got a broken spar in my little p40. Should I :
A. Take apart and redo it.
or
B: Talk Fabio into a new wing?

Just patch or replace the spar, no need to trash the wing.

I've patched it once but it's in a tough spot, just off the dihedral brace. I guess I'll have to do a major wing dissection this time

On some other foamies I've done a "splint" on spars by filleting them down the center and stuffing carbon tow in the groove with thin CA, then adding another spar doubler in front of the cracked area overlapping a bit in each direction past the crack.
