cool self contained landing/spot/night-fpv light on 1 cell
I had this sitting around, its the battery compartment/actual light portion for one of those large camping flashlights that used to be made with incandescent bulbs and a small car battery, this one was made to use leds on a pcb with reflectors and four AAs.
I know that using it this way isn't extremely weight efficient but its actually MUCH lighter than it looks and its convenient, should be no problem for a beefy quad. Now all I have to do is solder on a battery lead. This tiny 1s 500mah lipo is sitting at 4.0V and seems to be draining at a normal rate even with so much less capacity than a AA, I'll have to test this further. The voltage is close but a bit lower than the ~4.6V nominal that 4 AAs would be and I figured 2s might break it.
