Poor me...so many choices for indoor flying tomorrow night!
Several of these micros I did not have an opportunity to fly outdoors in calm conditions before we got snow.
The SE5A, Albatross and the Fokker have all been flown and trimmed up but the Nieuport and Cub have not. I'm definitely taking the little Cub and the Fokker.
The micro model on the end is little 182 from HobbyKing and it has yet to be flown as well. I will be taking this plane with me and hoping for a successful maiden flight.
Beside it is a HobbyKing Bat which I flew quite a bit over the summer but it is rather finicky, you have to be on the sticks all the time, and it is rather challenging when flown very slow. Then again that's what makes it fun.
I'm going to be using the any-link with my spectrum DX7S and it has performed well, with the range certainly exceeding my ability to see these small models at a good distance when utilized outdoors.
The space is a pretty good size; airplane hangar but not with the typical high ceilings one would expect. I've flown there in the past, about five years ago, and it gets a bit hairy when there's more than 10 guys flying but was always a good time. The smaller size of the hanger can make maiden flights a bit hairy but then again that's all part of the good fun as well. I always take CA and kicker and I always expected to be needing to repair something when the night is done.
Still debating whether to take the E-flight Nieuport pictured, as it seems rather large and imposing compared to the Flyzone micros. It is also not a very resilient model and I have yet to fly it.
I've invited a friend of mine who is an excellent photographer along and if he makes it I will post some of his pics down the road just for the heck of it.
Just prepping for tomorrow and thought I would do a a quick post on here...wishing all an excellent indoor flying season.
