This is what is going on after the wind storms in Indiana ... my back yard. I'm fortunate REMC is my electric service provider. They had electric service repaired within 3 hours of our phone call to them.

Yes, when I'm near the phone.

I spend 95% of my Sky Bench working time in the shop cutting wood, etc. and there is no phone in the shop for safety and efficiency reasons. My web site news letters talk about playing phone tag with my customers and having kits on the shelf for instant delivery . Orders can be placed by USPS and fax as well as email.

This past Friday I returned a a customer's phone call that left a message, said he wanted to order a kit, after listening to his story of his personal history of building and flying woodys years ago and wanting to get back in the hobby, he said: I'm on my lunch hour with my dog in the park, I'll get in touch with you again. No mention of placing an order. Retailing can be so much fun ...

Now, I enjoy talking on the phone and I'm as gabby as anyone can be, but in the interest of producing kits, my customers waiting for the kits to be shipped don't want me spending my Sky Bench working time playing telephone tag with customers 3 time zones apart. Telephone tag is frustrating for both party's.

I know ordering is inconvenient due to not having ordering on line available.

Dick's Merlyn seemed to have a higher canopy top than outlined on the plans and I suggested a cross brace inside the fuse between the fuse sides where the wings Leading Edges meet the fuse. This will prevent the wings eventually crushing the fuse at the LE. I'll be sure and do this on my web site build thread.

I have looked at my video of Dick's maiden launch and laugh every time I see the Merlyn dip almost immediately after Don Harris launched it. Dick hit the spoilers .... maybe he did something else too at that moment ... we will never know. I have a video of Dick's second flight,he launched the Merlyn by himself effortlessly. Well done Dick. The videos will appear on my web site in a few weeks.

I wish I had been flying my Osprey 2M today! Flew the Falcon 880 for old times sake today.
If I had a witness I would have finished my Bronze Sportsmans Soaring Program level but . . . . .
Want to guess what I am flying tomorrow with a witness????
I do however exclude myself from any prizes because using an Osprey 2M would not be fair to the rest of the contestants.

P.S. take the trail that goes off to the left of the parking lot. It is a little longer but less steep than going directly up the trail that goes off to the right of the parking lot.

This time it is going to happen, Bill Grenoble and I are all set to fly Max Patch.
We will arrive in Newport, TN, Monday, Oct 1st during the afternoon. We are booked at the Red Roof Inn thru Wednesday night ( check out Thursday am ).
We will be flying winch in the nose, hand launch and Hi Start if needed.
