Warwick flying

Now that a few people are getting down to warwick thought I would start a thread. Good crowd this morning.

First the German squadron claimed victory ( The Eindecker done it!).

But then the Americans got their revenge,,,,,

fun times

Yeah good crowd again alright.
Looks like I missed all the action

From memory we had;
German, American, Russian, Japanese, Italian and the British covered.

Waz counted 25 models but some were still in cars...

Now that you mention it, yes all countries covered:

Japan: Kawanishi H6K mavis
Italy: Macchi MC200
Russia: Lavochkin La-5FN
Germany: Messerschmitt Bf109F, Focke-Wulf Fw-190, Fokker Eindecker
USA: P51, F4U, F4F, P47.
Britain: Supermarine S6, DeHavilland Comet.

I'm sure I am missing a few.

Mat's Beech 18

Good idea Kwazi, starting this thread. It sure was a surprise seeing all those flyers and planes this morning. Some familiar faces and new ones as well. What a great line up of warbirds and other scale looking planes. I have some more to bring myself another time. Here is my video of Mat's Beech 18. The still shots were taken at Gnangara before its maiden. Enjoy

Nice one Waz,

Hey guys I found a spinner cap (push-on type) at the pack this morning. Black and about 30mm at the base.
Anyone lost it?

Phil

Nice to meet everyone yesterday. It was great to fly with a decent number of people again. and great to see that there are even some builders among you all.
I hope to make my trips out to Warwick a more regular occurrence if we continue to get some decent weather.

Thanks for all the compliments on my planes.
For those interested I've included a couple of links to my latest 3 projects
latest build, Kawanishi H6K Mavis
Beech 18
Sikorsky S-39.

Now I'm really looking forward to the WAEF float day! Geoff, you've got me hook line and sinker with that one.
If any of you are looking for a decent float plane for the event, look no further than the Polaris. Some of you already have one but those of yo who don't I would highly recommend building one. It's about a 15 hr build and I'm happy to help out anyone that gets stuck anywhere ( I think I've done about 9 of them now). I's the most stable floatplane you'll ever get.

Flite Test | Model Aero Showcase (10 min 59 sec)

Cheers,
Mat

Thanks Phil. By my standards, this one is going viral (45 hits so far!).
I have heaps of full size and model flying vids on my UTube channel:

Of course, the true credit needs to go to Mat for such a great job in building and flying - my part is the easy (but fun) bit.

Cool... is the apprentice um... still with us?
It didn't look like a 1-point landing zone where I found it

Does he need it back? I can leave it at a specified (inconspicuous) place at the field for him to collect.

Long range forecast looking good for next weekend. Early days I know but time is needed to fend off "other" arrangements.....

Hi All, I'm local and just starting to get into fixed wing. Mind if I come down and introduce myself sometime?

Go ahead! There is a club but there is no exclusive arrangement. If wind is low on seabreeze.com sat or sun mornings should see someone there. PM me for exact location (if u don't know).
