I see RJ has removable wings on his new model.

Any idea what the weight penalty is?

Thanks, and see you in Poland

Pat,

Yes RJ, Devin, and I have removable wings on the latest Anubis. The weight penalty is around half a gram, but it should make shipping and transporting much easier.

See you in Poland!

Thanks to West Michigan Park Flyers for contributing to our Giant Raffle. Now added to the raffle are the WMPF McFoamy, MX2, and Liberty XL.

Check http://www.teamusaf3p.com/index.php/giant-raffle for more details.

Thanks to WMPF for your support!

If you are at the WRAM show this weekend, stop by the NSRCA booth to buy F3P Team Tshirts and raffle tickets. We are also planning to have seminars time permitting on Friday and Saturday.

Regards,

Dave

Thanks to everyone who attended the F3P seminars and purchased TShirts and raffle tickets at the WRAM show this past weekend.

Thanks to Anthony Romano, Ed Alt and Mel, and Jim Quinn and Mary for helping with ticket and Tshirt sales.

And the newest prize added to the Giant Raffle, Throttle-Tech from Tech-Aero.

A little less than 2 weeks left before the Team leaves for Poland, and the final push is on for raffle ticket sales.

So, is there somewhere on the internet that has F3P WC live updates or anything? I'm excited to hear what's going on!

One more practice day tomorrow, three flights for each competitor.

Your guys had a couple of minor technical problems, but everything is working now.
Ryan had an aileron servo go bad, and Joseph had to make a minor rewiring to get his motor-off failsafe to work on both motors. (Kimmo two motors/two esc system)

They are all flying well, but then so are a lot of other guys

The overall level of flying is quite high, probably even higher than last time.

I think there is live video feed during practice:

Thanks Pat.

Yes, unfortunately, Ryan had an aileron servo fail in flight on his 2nd practice round. After hovering the plane back with rudder and elevator to a catch, returning to the pit, the aileron servo worked again. It was changed out for a new, and 1/2 way through this mornings practice flight, Ryan mentioned the plane never felt more solid on the ailerons.

Programming the radio for the throttle shutoff (safety requirement) proved to be a bit troublesome, but that is working fine now.

3 more practice flights for each pilot on Monday (US is early in the rotation, so it will be around 2 - 4AM US EDT) and then the contest rounds start Tuesday.

Incredible venue and the contest staff is abundant and well organized. Looking forward to a great event.

Regards,

Dave
