School project got me thinking.
I helped a bunch of kids with these projects. So I did one for myself.
Searched Google for Glider three view and came up with hundreds of
I liked this one, beautiful wing.
So I scaled the drawing to a 670mm wing span and printed it out full size.
Twenty minutes of cutting, ten minute of gluing, done, first flight, tail heavy
tail floppie. Two washers on the nose and a .060 CF boom spar and test flight
two, nose heavy, remove one washer, about right, windy tonight so hard to
get a reading, down wind it really goes, up wind stalls and turns down wing.
Wing span 670mm AUW, 7g. 1/4 sheet of DTF scrap CF rod,, 1/2" hot glue stick.
I cut the grove in the boom with a Dremel and a fiber disc. I left the paper on
forward of the wing. took the paper off to glue the washers on. Fiber tape
on the bottom of the wing.
