I wrote Sig/Mike asking if the Power 25 would be able to handle this plane and even though they have not tried a Power 25, he felt that it should be fine.

I'll be using a 12"x 8" prop. I'll report back on how it flies via the Power 25.
I have a Tacon Big Foot 25 in mine, 13x4 prop, 60amp esc, 2200 4S 40C battery. I have no complaints. Lots of guys at my field use the Tacon 25 in planes calling for 32's. The great thing about this motor is that you can purchase it for $21 from Hobbypartz.com. Price makes no sense but it is a great bargain.

I'm using a suppo motor from http://www.altitudehobbies.com/brush...rch=power%2032 Works great ! More power than you need but always good to have more power! Lol.. I also have a Tacon 25 motor but I setup for the power 32 version and now the Tacon motor won't fit the same holes.. Shame.. My Tacon 25 is a Great motor.. wish I would have known that before I built around my power 32 version..

Capt. Ed,

Who's 60A ESC are you using?

I'm going to buy the Tacon Bigfoot 25, but need an ESC.

My E-Flite Power 25 & 60A ESC went into another plane.

Thanks~ John

John,

I use the Dynam Datrum 60A from Hobbypartz. Most of the guys at my field use the Dynams with great results. Plus, you can program them easily with their card.

Finally maiden!

I finally assembled the T-Clips and I have to say that Sig's ARFs are better than other ARF's that I've assembled. Quality hardware and that battery tray is so easy to use. Great design! I used E-Flite's Power 25, E-Flite 60amp ESC and a 4S3200mah battery. It had plenty of power for me.

I did find that the blind nuts that the nylon wings screws screw into were not glued in well as one blind nut popped out the first time I threaded into it. A little epoxy fixed it.

At the field this morning, I noticed that the left nylon wing screw was making contact the elevator control rod and the control rod started cutting a groove into it. I'll trim/shorten the nylon wing bolts so neither one will contact any control rods.

I had one of our best pilots do the maiden. He took off and with a little up trim she was flying straight and level @ 1/2 throttle. He checked out how it would stall and found it to mush forward, which is great. It had no bad flying habits. But it did bounce on both of his landings(1st on pavement & 2nd on grass). He gave me the Tx and I took off, but not scale as she really pulls hard to the left. I did reduce the rudders throw to 3/4" for take-off & 1.25" for flying, but even with the reduced throw, she still wanted to ground loop. Hopefully a little stick time will cure that
The 1st battery flew for 8 minutes with 59% remaining.

I then put in a fresh battery and flew her for 7 minutes @ 1/2 throttle and it had 69% remaining. Overall, I'm very happy. And she has plenty of power via the Power 25. It must be a little hot rod with the Power 32.

Only thing left to do is to add some yellow ultracoat to the bottom of the wings so these old eyes can tell up from down

I flew four batteries this morning and I noticed that the T-Clips pulls/torques to the right while taking off. My other planes all pull to the left on take-off. Just wondering if anyone else(if any ones out there)has experienced this too???
