Rubio, no clue if this helps, but your question to Brian got me interested and I Google around a bit and found this page to be an interesting read.

Thanks Jonathon,
That was interesting. Those guys aren't fans of the Lacquer putty for sure. ![]() Sounds like the two part I have in the shop is the way to go reading that. but its a ways off still and Brian will chime in an I wil find out what happens in... The Cave of Wonders... Rubio Ray |

Progress is slow due to the funky flu going around.
Matin and I managed to get the front of our wing saddles adjusted and the mounting plates for the removable wing installed this weekend. This week's objective is to get the ailerons cut, torque rods installed, and the wings joined & mounted on the fuse. Shouldn't be a problem....wife will be out of town for 7 days starting Tuesday morning! |

Bondo Lacquer putty isn't really Bondo. It's made by bondo but it comes in a tube. There is no catalyst, it's just a putty that you rub on, let it dry and then sand it off. It dries really quick as long as you put it on real thin (which you should). Primarily used to fill pin holes and small scratches. The guys that have issues with this stuff are not using it right. It's not to be used as a body filler. It's only to fix VERY small pinholes and stuff like that.
