It is seamless. I put bondo laquer putty on the seam, sand it all smooth and then primer it. No seams that way You do have to be a little careful sanding the solartex but the silver has a coating so you can sand it without it fuzzing up. All the other colors would have to be shot with primer first because if you sand regular solartex it fluffs up like a tennis ball.

Is this a different type of Bondo ??
Than the kind we used in " The Cave Of Wonders"??
If so I want to get some and try this on my Zephyr.

That was interesting. Those guys aren't fans of the Lacquer putty for sure.
Sounds like the two part I have in the shop is the way to go reading that.
but its a ways off still and Brian will chime in an I wil find out what happens in...

It's looking good Rubio!
I used the single part glazing putty. The biggest downside I found was when I put it on heavy over primered areas, it melted the paint a bit, especially if I worked it back and forth too much. I've never used the two part glazing putty.

Looking good my friend, got to see Tom fly his today. If yours fly's anything like his you are going to love it !!!

Progress is slow due to the funky flu going around.

Matin and I managed to get the front of our wing saddles adjusted and the mounting plates for the removable wing installed this weekend. This week's objective is to get the ailerons cut, torque rods installed, and the wings joined & mounted on the fuse. Shouldn't be a problem....wife will be out of town for 7 days starting Tuesday morning!

Bondo Lacquer putty isn't really Bondo. It's made by bondo but it comes in a tube. There is no catalyst, it's just a putty that you rub on, let it dry and then sand it off. It dries really quick as long as you put it on real thin (which you should). Primarily used to fill pin holes and small scratches. The guys that have issues with this stuff are not using it right. It's not to be used as a body filler. It's only to fix VERY small pinholes and stuff like that.
