Live music would be cool, but I have been bringing my iPod out to the field
too, which has about my entire music collection on it.

Re: [RCSE] Holy bagpipes!

I have also heard a gentleman playing the pipes while on the slope. It was
in 1997 in the bay area..

If you get the chance ask the guy to play from an adjacent hill. The
distance and sloped hills give the sound an magnificent resonance. Almost
like being in Scotland. My experience was magnified by the presence of fog
and the absence of any wind. The sound echoed about valley marvelously.

Thanks for reminding me of the experience.

Jim, Yes,

I too would be lost without my iPod. I also got an
iTrip which is a little FM transmitter so I can play
the songs on my iPod through my car radio or the radio
in the shop. Sure beats the big honking CD changer in
the trunk. Makes the trip to the field. (manditory
soaring refrence). I have mine about half filled and
enough songs to play for 2 days without repeating a
song.
