Would a 56mm hyperflow from my retired GP F-20 work in this plane. ?
imo , no.......... not well anyway. the beauty of this plane is its 70mm fan in a smaller airframe.

Thanks GTX,

Are there two versions of this plane? A 3S and a 4S ? I do have a 64mm 4S motor fan/combo I can use.

Yes, the HURC ( Headsup rc) esc is programmable. Not sure which timing setting is recommended though. Low,med, high. I can also simply do an esc reset. The stock 40 amp esc will not cut it on 4S.

Well figured build one for a test and if it works then go for one for speed.
Picked up the foam and canopy kits to build one. Incorporated many of the tips I picked up here.
Thanks to all.

List of mods.
Fully glassed.
Extended intake.
Airflow dam on the belly.
Skid tape on the bottom of the intake.
Flexible flaps over the hinge lines.
Intake lower glassed, intake upper has plastic insert with esc cooling cut out.
Fan moved back further.
Mylar exhaust tube.
Clear plastic deflectors in front of the servos.
CS 70mm 10 blade.
Turnigy 2100 kv motor.
Plush 100 amp esc.
6S3000 pack, two 3S in series.
Model Master yellow into a faded orange into red for looks on top. Black and white stripes on the bottom.
And painted the canopy black on the inside.
Sunk a pair of 1/4" lite ply blocks in place of the stock canopy latches, pair of screws hold the canopy down.

Must of done something right, the packs sit dead center in the cockpit, so have room to play with different packs.

Excuse the tanks, I build those for a client. They are fully r/c, 1/6th scale.

Glacier,
Looks great ! I'm still sorting out my Squall that I rescued from the bin. Stuffed a 10 blade CS with a FW motor from my retired F4 Phantom. I did notice that when I ran up the throttle, the elevons twitched a bit. Could the exhaust flow cause the thrust vectoring linkage to move on it's own ?

Have a 60 amp esc installed but a bit concerned that it's not enough. Would feel more comfortable with a plush 70 but I hate taking the fuse apart. The previous owner had epoxied it in place. Took some surgery.

Ready to test.

Glacier Girl,
How exactly did you glass it? Did you sand the paint of first and did you prime it with anything? Also is standard resin safe for foam?
