i think the mini rio because it does not have the drive dogs that the mini v has ( the mini universal joint ) that is a weak point
so just by looking at the specks of both boats and watching both videos i would pick the rio . my 2 cents

The waterproof hatches make all the difference too! And, IMHO, the Mini Rio looks better shooting across the water!
Our club, the Indianapolis Admirals, has regular Mini Rio races. We keep them stock other than switching to Deans connectors.
