Scratch Built - My Gee Bee with Retracts
This is going to be my first design/ construction with retracts! I'll call it MGBR, standing for: My Gee Bee with Retracts!
I intend to create a mix of a Gee Bee Senior Sportster (Model Y) and a P-40.
I have already defined:
Wingspan = 140 cm or ~ 55 in
Motor = Turnigy G 32 (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ner_770kv.html)
Retracts=Turnigy Servoless / 2 in Wheels (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...0_degree_.html)
Batteries= 4S 4000 mA 20 - 25C
I know that this is not going to please the Gee Bee lovers, specially because it will take way the so characteristic undercarriage but I gotta get a plane with retracts.
I usually draw my on projects, and this one is not going to be different.
I have already built an electric Gee Bee Model D - http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1641381
It's going to be something like that: Stick kind fuselage, with a nice rounded turtle deck/ "Fighters like" cockpit/ Tail dagger/ Red and white "Gee Bee" scheme for covering.
Hope it flies well and that you enjoy!
P.S.: this is really going to be a slow project, so be patient.....
