The physical dimensions do not reveal a lot about why it is or is not comparable with another brand. I don't think many will "bite" on just that information.

I use comparison as follows.
Size - smaller overall mass
Speed- 0.2 seconds slower (3turns)
Torque - significantly greater
Waterproofing- significantly better
Power usage- lower
Installation -easier and closer to COG
Cost- less (approx £130 GBP)
Weight - 25g heavier
Warranty - 1 year

Also what voltage range can it handle and does it work as a BEC like the RMG saving extra wires - battery to winch - power for Rx from winch connection at 5V.
I like that the RMG gears can be seen and cleaned, but having a sealed unit may be an improvement.
Need more data please.

As requested, some info on the Titan Revolution Sailwinch.
These specifications are liable to change as development proceeds towards
the final production units.
We have several of these winches being vigourously trialed at the moment.

The Titan 'REVOLUTION' SailWinch is a digital programmable servo that
will have it's important motor control/feedback parameters such as dead-band, pulse-width step-size, gain, max PWM duty cycle, mid-point/endpoint positions and signal recognition configured and preset at the factory. The user will not have access to these programming functions.
The amount of turns can be user adjustable from 1 turn to 5.5 turns by adjusting the 'Travel-Adjust' function available in any modern digital transmitter. Same goes for the 'End-Point' adjustment.
If a customer requires more than 5.5 turns for their particular boat, then we can modify the TRS for them upon request, at no extra cost when ordering.

At AUD$190 per winch I dont think many will be heading this way as an RMG is only $60 more and comes with more features.
Not knocking what you are trying to do but you are up against the other winchs from Italy and they are progammable for the same price.
I think you will need to be a little more competitive on the pricing if you want to make a dent on the winch market.

This is being sold as a high performance winch
made from far superior quality parts than anything
currently on the market.
It will have everything needed for both the serious
racer and the club sailor.
Alas, it won't play tunes.
Speed, torque, failsafe, resolution, turn and end point
adjustment and above all, reliability are the
A large Eurgle it most certainly is not!
Alas, it won't play music.
Obviously, in the current economic climate
It has to be priced accordingly so plenty to think about.

Just thought I'd put my tuppence-worth in here.
What is the big deal about these 'must have" programmable sail winches..??
I really think this micro-processor technology is great and all...but on the right device,
where it can contribute something useful and necessary to it's operation and performance.
Not long ago, I owned an RMG ES-380 'Smart Winch', and I put it in to my Pikanto one meter
expecting great things from it, but in the end, I spent more time at the pond-side trying to
persuade it to function than I actually spent on the water and sailing my boat!
It took 19 separate joystick movements (I counted 'em!) and countless on and off switchings of my Tx in the vague and unreliable process of trying to 'program' it. Not to mention the many confusing 'beeps' blurts' and 'blats' that issued forth from it's internals as I tried in vain to communicate with it.
Once I finally did get it 'programmed' as per the instructions, it would suddenly, for no particular reason, lose this hard-earned 'programming', and leave me drifting with no sheet response from the Tx whatsoever. Careful manipulation of the rudder in the prevailing wind got me in again some time later.
After another replacement by RMG for a 'faulty' winch...It happened again. Same thing.
I gave up in the end, and sold it to a club mate, who likes to 'program' things.
Sail winches in the past didn't need to be 'programmable before they worked properly, and they don't need to be so 'smart' now either. All that is required from a sail servo is that it has enough torque, speed and simple waterproofed reliability to make yer sails go in and out when told to do so. I want a simple, robust and reliable servo that is 'fit and forget', and turns 'on' ready to go, when I connect the battery...so if someone is bringing out a new sail winch that can do all these normal things, and do it cheaper than so-called 'intelligently-smart' expensive offerings that everybody seems to think is the best thing ever since sliced bread, - and that includes all the Italian 'clones' too - then I'm interested in having a look at it.

Funny, but I believe the RMG winches are very basic to program. The latest F series can be done in under 20 seconds. It takes exactly 4 stick movements to do it. There can be all sorts of reasons why it wouldn't program. Rob checks each winch before it leaves his workshop...
I've seen dodgy receivers, crook servo leads, half flat batteries in the Tx, and in the boat, all contribute to the winch not programming. I've only ever sent 2 winches back for repair, both times after they got a lot of water in the boat.
I know some earlier models wouldn't talk to some 2.4 Ghz systems and Multiplex radios, but there were comprehensive instructions on the website for that too....
Anyhow, each to their own!!!!
