A man of service ! I am proud of him also, a true American!!!
In Theodore Roosevelt's April 23, 1910 speech, "Citizenship in a Republic", these lines ring true, although the entire speech should be required reading for todays children in school, because it reflects on the do'er not the say'er!
"There is little use for the being whose tepid soul knows nothing of great and generous emotion, of the high pride, the stern belief, the lofty enthusiasm, of the men who quell the storm and ride the thunder"
Theodore Roosevelt, 1910
Officer Joshua, may the good Lord richly bless you all the days of your life!
