There is a plugin that will output gcode for a cutting machine. Works really well.
For 3d you need come cam software. |

I started with Draftsight
It is a simple 2D software package that you can Download for Free.
Draftsight is limited in that it only works with DWG and DXF files. I recently bought Turbocad Deluxe 2D / 3D. It can import and export files in a Lot more formats. I still have to teach myself how to Use Turbocad in a Productive manner. There really is No way around that Learning Curve.

Good CAD software: DraftSight
I use CAD on a daily basis (AutoCad and MicroStation). But after moving to Windows 7, my old copies stopped running. Recently I bought TurboCAD 19 DeLuxe ($90.00), and it works well. But now there is a much better option which is DraftSight. It is made by Dassault Systems, and the best part, it is FREE
. It looks and feels like AutoCad, 2D only, but for drawing plans it is perfect!
