This is my molded hull for micro mono racing (23cm long = 9.1 inches).
For now is just glass hull. I am making Carbon one right now. The weight of the first glass RTR boat is 100grams  .It runs on a small motor with 3800Kv and 2S 450mAh lipos. Propeller is 21mm from HK-Surface drive!  First test was a great success with smal CG isue and big Ruster tali .It realy flys on a straight line. But the turning is not yet perfect. Some testing and fine tuning will follow. When the time comes I will open a new topic and show you a step by step process how I made molds and all of that. Regards from Slovenia |

Well I guess my new little tug fits in here, it's 11.5 inches. It is of a Bantam Tug from London, England. It's home is the London Canal Museum, used in the narrow canals through out England. Cheers.

JayJay. The lower hull is from Kingston Mouldings, the motor is a M.A.C.K. 1885, 6-12V, Futaba radio, ESC and mini Servo for steering. Rudder & tiller arm scratch built. Prop is a Dumas 1.25" bronze on 1/8" shaft. Battery is a 5 cell 6V NHM, 3 on the bottom & 2 on top. Everything from the deck up is Evergreen plastic sheet & strips. Runs at about walking speed for over 4 hours. Just christened & launched Sept 29.

I personally do not think they were worth it, at least not for the original $200 price. I had the Lambo Cat.
Either way, this thread isn't really the place to talk about where to get boats from. I'm just trying to stay on topic. |
