I maidened today and all I have to say is wow, this thing is ridiculous! I'm running the turnigy 2350kv with 6x4 prop and and a 4 cell. It flew on rails and was easy to land given how well it glides.

The only issue I had was on a couple occasions the right wing would dip uncommanded coming out of left banks😨. I have to figure out if it's a bad servo (MG 14), or maybe just the crappy hinge tape, seems like the right elevon just isn't returning to center.

Has anyone added rudders with air brakes? I'm just waiting for a couple servos to test it out.

I bought the sky fun from the aussie skyartec dealer, but i can't find where to get a cheap replacement for the pushrods.
These look like a fairly generic part to me that could be manufactured from anything.
but they also look like a cheap replaceable part that should be available anywhere.
if you have a link to a place that sells these, please advise.

It's an awesome plane with the tunigy 2836, 60A esc and 4 cell power.

Im getting ready to do rudders, I have everything but the time, lol.

I'm about to order my skyfun with the Turnigy 2350kv
Going to start on 3s and work up to the 4s
I'm going to get the fixed wing 50a ESC, will this be enough?
I know on 3s it won't pull anymore than 50a with a 6x4e
What about 4s, what the best prop to use for speed and what sort of amp draw does it have?

3S 2200 BATTERY 38.8 AMPS 417 WATTS
BOTH BATTERIES WERE 40c

Cutting it a bit fine with the 50a but may also do the job
Might go with this 60a as its a few dollars more but bursts to 80a!

I was flying my skyfun with the recommended Turnigy Motor, a 6x4 prop, a 3s Lipo rated at 30C and I was using all of this with the HK 50A RedBrick. At the end of my WOT flights, the motor and esc would come down cool to the touch. I would say if you are going to eventually move into 4s batteries, it may be best for you to purchase a bigger ESC.

80 amp burst current and tough as nails. Same as theTurnigy Plush Hobby Wing family and use the cheap program card if needed

I think the 60a with an 80a burst would be a safer option
Most of the 50a only seem to burst to around 55a
Will be working too hard all the time, to close to its limits

This ESC looks like the way to go, 80a burst is plenty
6x4 on 3s will be way under 60a, and 5.5x4.5 on 4s should be around the 50a mark?
Won't be working overtime!
