Since I have to use the backlight (or you can see the output) couldn't I run it off the BEC? seeing how I already have one?

Yes.......so run the LCD off the BEC and the Arduino direct from the Lipo.

Hi Ian.

I've been wanting to build this for a while and have all but the USB Host board ready to go. I've finally figured out I should get this up and running, and learn some decent Arduino programming before trying to implement any other ideas I've been having.

Thanks for sharing your design, it seems the best way for a novice to get up and running.

$50 for 16MHz 8bit MegaADK or MEGA+USB Shield vs $25 168MHz 32bit STM32F4 only. Why to pay more?

TX System

I am very new to RC flying.

I'm using your v1 joystick software in my turnigy 9x transmitter to give me more channels via the trainer port so I can utilise all 16ch on my openlrs radio.

It manages the 2 extra pots at the top, ps2 stick and my sliding flap switch.

You can use any Tx system just as long as it conforms to standard Futaba type PPM stream, albeit I have only tested with Thomas's kit.
