Hi again. Cherokee Flyer, thanks for the offer of photos, I have just PM'd you.

Peterreebok- so you did end up getting one in to Oz? Seems like you are getting your money's worth in fun. Did you go electric or glow? I have been looking in to finding the RCM plans, to do a scratch build, but they seem to have gone under. Is the kit robustly packaged, to survive the trip?

Cheers,

Cam

The box is so full you could drive a truck over it and not hurt it. There is a LOT of wood in this kit! Pictures soon via email.

Yep, very well designed kit. Well cut, good wood. Is a great flyer, if you can get it to come down wants to fly and fly. Std erc motor, on 4s 4500 lipos getting 20 plus minutes with 40% remaining.

Hmm, sounds good peterreebok, you gonna post some pics?

I found the original RCM plans as a download at outerzone in the UK, and they printed up true to scale and square at my local printshop, but by the time I buy all the balsa and plywood etc, methinks the cost will approach that of the kit, without the benefit of the clever wing mount and drop-box arrangement. So between you and Cherokee Flyer, I think I commit to the kit.

Will post here down the track.

Here are a few, including one 'in the wood' pic.
Most planes look good in the wood. The telemaster more so because you can see how little wood is left in the fuselage.
Btw the one on the balancing rig was how it ended up without any balance weights, proving the design of the kit.

Note this is the tm40.
I never got the senior kit, couldnt justify the cost

Very smart job, peterreebok. A little off-topic: I notice you are using a magnetic building board, the concept of which I only discovered a month or so ago on the airfieldmodels site. Can you tell me where you sourced the magnets in Oz? The best price I could find was the latch magnets on this page:

http://aussiemagnets.com.au/search.p...agnets&x=0&y=0

At $3.85 each, a few building fixtures get kind of pricey. But I'm keen to set up for the Telemaster build. Also, any good suppliers/cutters of steel sheet in Melbs you can recommend, and what gauge/thickness did you find successful?

Cheers,

Cam

Nice plane peter. What does she weigh complete with the 4500 battery?

Looking at the Senior Telemaster but trying to decide which one to get. Is the V2 version really 2 lbs heavier than the previous generation? I have a set of floats I want to put to use and 10 lbs is the upper limit for them. I see one of the posters says their model is 11 lbs. It that typical? WHat is typical flying weight for the older version?

Telemaster Demensions ?

Could one of you good people tell me how long the tail moment is on the Telemaster 40 ? I need the length in inches between the trailing edge of the wing, and the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer.

Thank you very much.
