I am also a 22 junkie, just aerotowed mine behind a 50 cc powered Super Cub, so effecient the tug pilot was climbing at 45 degrees on half throttle. They are truly amazing sailplanes, mine has true to full size wing flex, and does the biggest loops on the planet,
If you google Sungazer Scale gliders at Volksrust, you will see our "African Scale Safari"

Just a quick update. Ev's glassed the wings using an unorthodox method of supporting the panels by the joiners at each end and standing the panels on their trailing edge and glassing both sides at once.

Just a bump to the thread. Evan has had an unexpected diversion. His tug, a World Models 33% Super Cub, got the tow line wrapped around a fence and stopped it flying 3 meters above the ground. It wasn't badly damaged but it prompted him to "sort it out" ... Evan style.
It's being completely stripped of plastic covering and recovered in Sig Koverall.
The evelator servos have been moved from the rear (hangin out the side of the fuse) to up front in the cabin area, using carbon rod pushrods to actuate the elevators. Lots of other little tidy-ups too.
I'm begining to collect bits n pieces for mine ... servos, spoilers etc.
I'm adapting a pair of tips from Topmodelcz
for a Ventus
More to follow.

My 22 is couple of models away. I still have to finish reconditioning my dad's ASK-13 and I wanted to get my Cub operational but I wouldnt mind betting that there'll be a delay with that one. (engine issues).
I'd like to have the '13 ready for Sept/Oct which will clear the bench for whatever is next.

Well, I've been a bit slack on update the build of Evan's ASW 22 but I'm happy to announce that it was successfully maidened two days ago. It's yet to have a pilot and some markings but now that Ev's happy that no mods are required all of the detailing can be completed.

Also in the video is Ev's Cub that I mentioned in post #20.

Enjoy

David
