My first one years ago I glassed it up thinking it was the right thing to do and I broke many props trying to fly it with a 25fp. It was so heavy it took a 46 to fly it.

The only bad thing about the Gremlin is not being able to over-hand launch it!

We had a couple of guys that would launch inverted over-hand. I could never do that without breaking something.

Just thought I'd reports on the test flight on the new Gremlin with Turnigy 3542/4 1450Kv motor.

Flew great. I was using an APC 8x6 prop, so a little higher power and shorter flight time than what I want to use for my 5-minute combat rounds, but certainly a great performing system. I would use this combination if I had 5000 mAh batteries, but have to cut the power down a little since I went with 4000 mAh packs.

Here's my prop test data for both motors (the watts per pound is based on my 3.5 pound flying weight).

1st one is Turnigy 3542-4 1450 Kv
2nd one is Turnigy 3542-6 1000Kv

Assign 10-15% down elevator to a switch on the Tx just for launches? That is a good idea, I would've never thought to try an inverted launch.

Never had a problem launching the Gremlin underhand. Just hold it at the balance point throttle about 3/4 and take three steps forward and give her push off. We do this even with 20 feet of streamer hanging off the back

I can't picture tossing this inverted like you mentioned, but if works power to em.
