That's fast but not that much faster then last year. Was this running at full power and maximum cellcount?

Hi Wim!
Not a typo!
It was an 11x20 Powercroco-prop!

@Henke
This was only 42V limitations (10S), which is max. for this Speedcup not 72V (16S) as for the world record attempts!
Let´s take the Typhoon XS which was 240g lighter than the Eagle Kai has flown with nearly the same dimensions with 14S FAI legal and we will see where speed will go !
And all without turbine (sorry henke )!

Ciao,Marcus

Hi Steve!
Ralph is designing the props and i´m making the props! We are dividing the work!
He is the brain and the motor builder, i´m only the hand and the Carbon fiber-addicted !

Wish I could have been there...might buy a ticket next year! I am hoping that Vic's speed event in North Carolina will become our Speed Cup...we are years behind over here, but.....better late than never!

Me to, but in a cooler time of the year. If he would do one this fall I'm in with two planes and can think of 3-4 others here who might come as well.

Ok on 10S it sounds resonable.

Turbines are for girls :-)

Hi sebbe!
Speedcup is over and now it´s really time for the new props, which i had no chance to make before! Stefan and i built 4 planes in three weeks, including building the fuse mold, beside my normal work in a lot of night actions with about 4 h sleep every day for about three weeks! We had the maiden of all four planes friday morning before we went to the speedcup which had still started then! So we missed 4 flights by starting the competition saturday morning! I had no time to go there earlier as i returned from a medical congress in the night from thursday to friday! So lots of stress but it was worth it! The new planes fly perfect and are really fast! Stefan had no problem, even it was his second flight with the Typhoon XS overall, to get in the "400 km/h-club"! And i also pushed my personel best up to 432 km/h without using the full potential of the setup! So a lot more speed will come with training and if we use the world record setup with 12-14S, which perfect suits FAI-legal in this plane, it would be hell !

Ciao, Marcus

OMG!

Better than 400km/h club you should talk about Match 1/3 club (around 410-412km/h depending on the air conditions)

Few questions:
What kind of planes were those with the V-tail, low wing? Looked to be running OS 40 rear exhausts? Where do you purchase something like that and what kind of speeds were the nitro guys hitting? The twin engine variation was wicked!

Completely off subject but did you notice how skinny everyone is over there?
