OleRC & Typhoon Glider

I have located this glider and shop today. Did a search on here and came up with some old threads. Is this hobby shop still in business, still treating it's customers right? How has the glider held up?

I don't have first-hand experience of olerc (so don't take my post too seriously ), but, from what I hear, people have had mixed experienced with them.. Some planes turn out to be top-notch, others not so much...

Has the Hobby King version been any better for quality?

I guess the only way to get an answer to that is to keep an eye on the review feedback...

Hobby King and quality don't belong in the same sentence

OleRC are awesome to deal with. Staff are very helpful. Fast shipping at a reasonable price or even FREE sometimes :-).
My Typhoon hasn`t had alot of airtime but is fun to fly & I`ve had no dramas yet..
I have no hesitation recommending both the company & the plane with one condition.. RCRCM planes are great value for money..But they are not built in Europe they dont have the high price tag so don`t expect Baudis or similar quality. They are very good but not excellent.

Someone on the dutch forum received a new Cyclone form Hobbyking. First checks are positive. No obvious quality defects noticeable.

There's also someone with a Typhoon from RCRCM, which is identical. His fuselage has broken behind the wing, because carbon reinforcement on the inside was intermittently applied, creating a stress riser. Also his tailplane had had a very loose fit on the joiner, but the cyclone had a good fit on the joiner.

Others here on RCgroups have reported very loose fit on the wing joiner. this was not the case with both the Dutch Typhoon and Cyclone.
