New Product
Red Bull BO-105 CB CX RTF Helicopter by BLADE (BLH2800)

Looks like Horizon hobby is teaming up with Red Bull to give us (some new) wings:
http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...ter-BLH2800#t2

Red Bull BO-105 CB CX RTF Helicopter by BLADE (1 min 42 sec)

SPECS
Approximate Flight Time: 6-8 minutes
Battery: 1S 3.7V 150mAh 25C Li-Po (included)

Experience Level: Beginner
Flying Weight: 1.02 oz (29 g)
Height: 4.72 in (120mm)
Is Assembly Required: No
Length: 7.87 in (200mm)
Main Blade Material: Plastic
Main Gear Ratio: 12.28:1
Main Motor Size: 6.5mm coreless
Main Rotor Diameter: 7.48 in (190mm)
Number of Channels: 3
Recommended Environment: Indoor
Rotor Type: Coaxial
Size/Scale: Ultra Micro
Type: Ultra micro coaxial helicopter
Width: 1.89 in (48mm)

The Good: Super stable proven technology, built in rudder gryo, comes with the new Eflite battery (1S 3.7V 150mAh 25C Li-Po), replacement parts and beginner friendly.

The Bad: The outrageous price, 3ch, no navigation lights, despite being 2.4ghz it won't be compatible with SPEKTRUM transmitters, the battery is overkill with a mainframe similar to an mCX2 and a large enclosed canopy I suspect that it could be prone to over heating (warping the motor mounts) if you fly longer than 4-5mins (much like the mCX2).

The UGLY: This thing looks like crap, its a 3ch and HH are charging top dollar for it; $89.99 regular price, but $69.99 ... And look at that canopy: Its ugly, the paint work seems rushed, and it has painted windows. For the price they could have at least added clear windows

My advice: If you must have a 3ch buy a $10 one off ebay, fly it until it breaks, then buy an mCX2 for a few $$$'s more than the Red Bull CX. Or if you must have a good 3ch buy the Blade Scout CX.

@ Horizon Hobby: Why, oh why HH, your product development team must be on drugs . Why waste your time and money on something like this? Surely it won't sell very well. BLADE is supposed to be "#1 by Design".If I were you I'd be focusing on developing an mCX3. If you agree to give me the first one I have a plethora of ideas for you that will actually make money.

The only thing that interests me about it are the landing skids. Hopefully the will fit the mCX2, but as it looks like they have revised the mainframe the chances seem slim

Also, if you look at the Tx. It is suspiciously Scout CX like. Therefore, I doubt very much that this is DSM compatible. Don't expect it to bind with your other Spektrum radio, which to me is a deal breaker.

Red Bull CX? Sorry, I will definitely PASS.

3-channels with 2 servos? What's the point about that??? Butt chugging a gallon of Red Bull with all the caffeine rushing up and the taurine rushing down will make you fork out $70 for this when you can get the best coaxial IMO (mCX2) for just a bit more...

Probably RB is behind it, and will be used as merchandise and promotion gifts etc.

lol

I believe because they used the mcx2 platform, minus the brick, the 2nd swashplate control horn is just stationary.

Ah, had a closer look, the last pic in the OP lead me to believe there're two servos, it's simply the Scout (1 servo) with a RB canopy.

At least its a scale, long time Blade didn't make some scales in micro helis ! (we want more scales Blade)

Not so beautiful we can expect, but if there is any chance to put it on a MCX v1 or MCX v2 I will buy this canopy !

If you have a little patience and modeling skills you can make the nine eagles BRAVO SX canopy fit.

I really like the skids of this new RED BULL CX, and I think they will compliment my mCX2 BRAVO nicely

Pics from JR today. The red is very dull and rose-ish colored and not very vibrant or red. I put the flash on to try to see if it was just the lighting, but the 3rd pic is what it really looked like.

Have you guys seen the videos on Youtube of the REAL Red BULL BO-150 CB? That thing is amazing!!!

I'll never understand why Blade sought to honor a real-life full-scale piloted heli capable of loops and rolls by making it a 3ch coaxial helicopter of it. They should have made a lightweight canopy for the mCPX or Nano CPX since those helis can actually do flips and rolls...

Just bought my LHS' only spare canopy. Am going to attempt a retrofit to my nCP X. It's exactly the right length. Will keep you all posted.

Nice...I'm looking forward to it. A helicopter wearing this canopy should be able to fly inverted. Otherwise it's kind of a waste...lol
