WOW lotsa torque on take off! I love how the Critical Mass flies though! Mine is going on 2 years old and I need to touch up the paint and make it pretty again... But it is still very fun to fly!

Yeah they tend to weather vane a lot when there is a crosswind. In that case you did a good job!

Great vid.
You should get a DVR 808 #16 V3 mini camera. They only weigh in at 17g's and get some on board action...

Gotta love how quiet the high pitch props are!! And since I have been flying electric I really can't stand the sound of Nitro or Gas planes!! Electric is so much cleaner, quiet and powerful...

Critical Mass Tacon 10 Upgrade ?

I posted this question on the RocHobby Modification thread too, but since there hasn't been any activity there for almost 6 months, I thought I'd try here also...

I'm in the process of installing the Tacon 10 in my CM high speed, but to get my APC prop to clear the cowl, I need to shim the motor out 8-10mm, at which point, the mounting screws are margninally long enough. Folks here have stated that this motor is a simple drop-in replacement. What am I missing? I'm using the Tacon prop adapter. Can the spinner be a factor? Mine is a basic Hyperion model, which positions the prop very close to the spinner backplate. I'm fairly new to modding my planes, so there is much I have to learn. I'm a bit aprehensive to fly it this way, fearing I may have done something wrong. Please advise.

I had to space mine out as well. I was able to find some longer screws to make it work with the spinner I was planning to use...
