KARS (Kennedy Space Center Athletic Recreational Sports) RC CLUB

Dear Viewers:

I have created a separate Thread for those that fly at the Kennedy Space Center's Remote Control Club, for employees that work there only Sorry. With post 9-11 we are not allowed to take our own families there and let alone our closest friends.

Okay KARS RC CLub Gang....here's the pictures I took from todays Fly fest at the Shuttle Landing Facility (South End).

Here's our buddy Vernon driving his upgraded Clodbuster powered by Twin Hacker brushless motors .

These were some of the few pictures I took. I'll take more next time. We should definitely do this again. Can't wait to see that video Carlos .

Carlos (Chachin),

Thanks for those neat pictures! I have been finished with the Videos for some time now and been waiting patiently for PUTFILE.COM as it seems their servos are being upgraded and hope sometime Monday afternoon they will be up.

The only thing you can view is their forums and found one talking about why people can not view PutFile's videos.

Thanks for the pics guys. The wind was just a tad breezy, therefore my FP micro heli had to stay home but not the Clodbuster (wind can't touch that). Not sure who it was that was flying the blue Corsair (I think), but it was fun trying to race/run him down the few times . I did enjoy the morning on the BIG runway so much room to drive and fly.

Vernon

Carlos (both of you),

Thanks for the Pictures and Videos.
I sure miss the KSC folk. We are having a Young Minds at Work up here in April and I broke down and bought the Mini UltraStick. Just gotta find a good source for batteries and a LIPO charger. Besides when the weather gets really good, I can take those quick lunch time flights.

I have a video I did during our 2001 visit to the SLF.

You are right ... it's RC Heaven!

During our visit in 2001, we did have a couple of turbines. A ducted fan and a really big 1:1 scale NASA jet (see end of video).

Here's the link to KARS FLyers @ SLF in 2001 2k1 (10MB). ** Please save/download to your computer and watch it over and over. I don't know how much bandwidth ATT allows.

Good Luck,
d.tipton
