Yeah, I saw your post about getting the 450 X a page or so back. It made me chuckle since I had just done the same thing. I have to stop buying heli's, but I know I won't. At least they require less room in the house than the planes.

The wait will be worth it!

Fairplane,

Sorry to hear about the delay. I can report that the wait will be worth it. I have the 300 X on preorder but I also bought the 450 X. The BeastX receiver is great! All I've done so far is hover it and I found it's very stable. After 20 seconds of flight I was hooked. I doubt I'll ever buy a heli with a flybar again.

You're in for a treat if the 300 X is anywhere close to as good as the 450 X! I am very impressed with it (but I'm not as particular about servos and such as some are). The BeastX seems to work great!

Here's a video of a brief maiden hover and a few mild pitch pumps. The 450 X sounds great and is amazingly stable. It feels like a giant mCP X to me. I'm still new enough to CP helicopters that I'll put 20 flights on it in normal mode to adjust to the 450 X characteristics before I try aerobatics.

It's going to be a fun Summer working on aerobatic skills on the 300 X and 450 X!

Blade 450 X Maiden (3 min 26 sec)

Here's a few videos of aerobatics with my mCP X. In the first one at the end you'll see why I'll be starting a little slow with the 450 X. My skill level is at the point where I still run out of altitude occasionally!

WOW!!!!!!!!!
This makes me even MORE glad I pulled the trigger on the 450X!!!!
At THIS rate.....Blade/HH will have to wait 'til after the NEXT Chinese New Year to get parts for distribution to dealers!!!
Oh,well....."Good things come to those who wait......"
Then again: "No time like the PRESENT!!!!!"
For all those with a 300X on back order-------
Good Luck!!!

JUNE !!!! I was expecting early May but JUNE ......this is depressing. Well I'm just so elated that I pulled the trigger on the 450 X ! I've found it a great flyer and continue to hope that the 300 X will be one also.....guess I'll be biding my time till mid-June to find out.... I'll be going to the "Weak Signals" Toledo Show this weekend.....I'll see what the reps from Horizon Hobby have to tell me....

Regards,
J.

I was at the Weak Signals Toledo RC Show this weekend. I visited the Horizon Hobby booth and got my hands on a 300X. It's gonna be a nice size for flying around in the back yard. I asked the HH dudes to confirm the release data and they said "Mid to Late June"....
I also got some hands-on time with the new 130 X. It's everything that all the mCPx owners would like in a new package....larger size, brushless motor, variable pitch tail rotor....looked great except for the $279.00 price tag

Regards,
J.

The 300X looks awesome out of the box but isn't it true that the upgraded carbon blades would even make it more agile? What are the stock blades made out of?

Dang, so if it can do all that with woodies then the carbons should be an nice upgrade. I remember how much difference carbon blades made on my .30 size choppers back in the day. Night and day for sure.

Got Hamish putting the 300X through it's paces indoors and after hitting the deck a few times, he literally cleans the floor with this heli man these things are durable and can this bloke fly hope to have the video up tomorrow night

I also just got my first look at the new 130X then i got Hamish to put it through it's paces at our local indoors event this heli is a beauty and in the hands of someone who "really" knows how to fly i think it will be a very durable heli. Your see this one hit the ground a few times too and just keep flying
Video will be up tomorrow, it's 1am here and i'm off to bed it's been a long day with a 200km round trip to film these clips

anyway i'm outta here

cheers chuck
