Best easy battle foamies for club battle

Hello everyone,

Were looking for a nice coupple of plane's to have a club battle.
We'll problably start with streamer battle and end in full carnige.

We would like some different but similar sized planes. Pusher or mid mounted to protect the prop.

Just wanted to get some expertise from you guy's.

I like the F-22 and already a saw some nice design's.
Most likely ill cut the FunBat or bloody wonder as well but dont know if these are asked for with the prop in front.

Il be cutting these for the club at cost price with my PlahtPrinter CNC.
Already selling alot of kits to my club members from SEMFF and others i did send a PM to these guy's stating that i wanted to sell them with only very low profit but no one responds, i never change the name or pretend its my design all links to the plans are given when asked for.

Thanx in advance,

Maikel

Probably the easiest plane to make that will work well for combat is the Simplest Simple Delta , a VERY agile flyer !
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2145562

Here is the original

Simplest simple delta (1 min 20 sec)

Here is one made recently by Marblekit

Red Dragon "On Steroids" (2 min 19 sec)

Maikel: Send a PM to Ken (dz1sfb) Most of the SEMFF planes we have used for our streamer combat are his designs. He shares the plans freely, and will give guidance on your recutting them to "sell".

We use the F&F, Ken's Stingray, and various other planes, about the only criteria is we try for same 24 gram 1700kv Blue Wonder motor (or close to gram weight and Kv), similar wing area, mostly 2s 850-950mah packs( although a few 3s packs slip in from time to time). Tough to be too structured when there are no rules!

Since it's all in fun, we fly all planes til they hit LVC, for max fun, so even after one's streamer is cut they keep flying. We just try to keep track of our cuts. Keeping more planes in the air makes for more fun, (and usually more carnage).

I already did a while ago without any answer. Hopefully he will respond sometime.
Like stated i am only selling them for the hobby not to make profit.
His planes fly awsome. built the Mig-3, Vampire, Mustang, Spitfire and they all fly awesome.

Thanks for the suggestions so far i will look into them.

I've built two of these deltas, they have a 20" span, 15" root 4" tip chord. Motor about 7" from the tail, elevons 1.5 to 2".
The KF section (top and bottom) is exactly 50% chord all the way across.
Leave the paper on the main wing and remove it from the kf sections or remove it all and use a spar. Vertical stabilizer is TLAR, about a 5" by 5" triangle.
This one is running a hobbyking donkey 2204 with a gemfan 8*4 cut down to 6", 1000mAh 3S.
The roll rates are pretty crazy and could use some expo, but it's a blast to fly and quite stable in pitch. Glide ratio leaves much to be desired, likely because of the high reflex on the elevons (maybe a bigger tail). Slam them into the dirt all the time and a little hot glue gets them back up and flying again.
I can draw up some plans if you want but with those dimensions it shouldn't be too hard.

Leadfeather's Firefly is hard to beat for combat. Free plans, EPP bounces well, mid motored for prop protection and built around the blue (silver) wonder. Fancyfoam.com offers inexpensive kits if you get tired of cutting them.

Thnks Azarr,

Does look like a well desinged delta.

EPP is very hard to come by in the netherlands. And whats available is expencive with high shipping cost. Usaly imported from germany.

I will be cutting these on my cnc router so i never get tired of cutting .
Just have to press play and go drink coffy.

I would also like some jets but will discuss this on the club.

Maybe a scaled down version of the FT versa wing.

+ 1 on the versa wing. Our club did a pair of group build get togethers and they like the Versa wing quite well. 2 sheets of handi board or about 2 dollars gets the wing made. Cheap fast and flies well.

You should consider adding your location in your profile, (it will then appear under your name) it makes it much easier to provide answers if we know where people are located.

Maikel,

how about a "Skunky"? Offcourse it`s also designed for an EPP build, but it can also be built from Depron with no problems.
Here`s a video:

FMT 10/2014 - Skunky - Kostenloser Downloadplan (3 min 1 sec)

Free downloadplans are available from the German FMT-Magazine:

https://www.vth.de/flugmodell-und-te...wnload-skunky/

And if you can read any German, like many people from the Netherlands do, there`s a buldlog atrcline-Forums:

Dart-XS? The one time we tried it we were both using 19 gram motors, 2C or 3C, not much difference. 3 Ch though even with ailerons (4 Ch) it doesn't make much difference.

Prop? Always use a prop saver. Admittedly doesn't always help in a vertical crash but should help (prop at the front) for streamer cutting.

Those are some great ones indeed.

Mac50L. Damn your right didn't think of the need to have the prop in front for the steamer cutting.
Kinda handy when we're planning a streamer battle.

Dont think it a good idea to put razor blades on the LE
Everyone needs to wear armour to protect themselfs from the airplanes.

Maybe multiple builds. Mid mounted props for head on battle.
Front prop for the streamer battle. FunBat
