Yippee!
ordered equiptment for my U2!!

i just ordered all of the accessories for my soon-to-be U2 plane.
here are a couple of pics of the unassembled original free flight glider, the motor and ESC i already bought.
it will just be a slow, smooth flying plane. im putting a folder on it so i can climb, cut the motor, and glide which will be very nice looking and save battery life which is expected to be 10-20 minutes, which im very satisfied with. will get pics on here when its all finished, which will hopefully be pretty soon
readily awaiting my Tower Hobbies package
alex

I had one. Burned up after 2 flights. Maybe I had a bad one. Good luck with yours.

The ESC IS crappy, and that's an understatement! I had one, only pulling about 25 amps, caught fire and totaled an Easy Star on the first flight ! Anything Wattage is total junk IMHO!

Mark, you really shouldn't let fly with that shotgun!
Although I did have a 30A from Wattage burn up in my GWS TM 400, (stunk up the plane & workshop-should've left it outside!) their EP-400 Cub is a joy to fly, and far from junk. Take a look at Mrs. Tracon's, on floats, (stills & movies), elsewhere on the forums.

I agree I've had Wattage planes that flew great after shcanning the cobalt 400 motor and there are some guys at my field that love thier Impresses I just avoid all Wattage electronics

Fair enough. Judy's Wattage Cub has an Astro .010 brushless, with an APC 5.3X2.5 prop.
But this is about Thermlin's new U-2, and that sounds good to me! Good Luck, & keep us informed, please!

thanks for all the positive feedback, and the motor and ESC are already used a little bit so hopefully they would have burned up by now.
as for weight, im predicting about 2-2 1/2lb, with the box saying 1 1/2lb for free flight.
i will most definitly post pics in the hanger and flying when shes done.
back to painting wings.......

I'm not trying to pull this thread off topic, but I have to ask- Why did your Easy Star draw that much current?
