Is APC 10x7 SF Prop too much for the Hitec Sky Scooter?

I just switched to using an APC 10x7 Slow Flyer prop on my Hitec Sky Scooter with the 3:1 gearbox, Stock Speed 400 Motor & RS 1600 8-cell Nimh Pack. I really like this prop but I have noticed that the Pack comes out like Real HOT & I'm wondering if I am puttin a lot of Stress on that motor. Is that 10x7 prop too much for this setup?

M, I think so. Just a tad too much pitch there. If the gearbox was
3.5 to 1, I think you'd be in good shape. You can still run the prop but the motor's life will not be as long as it should be. And your drawing a little extra amps out of the batts. Shorten their life a little too.
