I have many of their 3000 and 3300 batteries, 40C and 50C. I'd say they're equivalent to Sky Lipo. They're fine, and Jason's service is excellent. He ships from his U.S. warehouse right away.

Nope. Flew with very little mix. Go figure.

Guys I just want to mention... you can move the elevator servo forward if you want for lighter packs or just better pack placement. I did that on my last slick and it worked out pretty well. Just thought I'd throw it out there as an option. My first preference though would just be to use a motrofly and 4s 3000's with the servo in the normal spot.

I use Thunder Power 4S 45C 3300's in mine, but they are as light as most other 3000's... Flies great IMO...

Hmmmmm.. I wonder if that is what I did. I've not any issues with aft CG. And have been puzzled by all the talk of burying the packs under the cowl. My 2150mah strap centered over the landing gear.

You would know... the slot is just a lightening hole and is too long. You have to mod it a little. Also, the supplied push rod would be too short.

At least that is how I remember it.

3DN, can you post of pic of where you placed your servo further forward? I'm about to start my build (w/ Motrolfly & 4S, and likely 2800-3000 packs but haven't decided yet) and would be curious to consider this mod if it allows more flexibility in pack size, esp if only downside is longer pushrod on one servo (depending on how much longer)

I think I posted some pics waaaay back in the thread when I did it. I had to add a little backing for the servo screws as well. Not a big deal, but could be a turn-off for some ppl.

Basically thete is a lightening hole in-line horizontally with the regular servo cutout. The slot is longer and narrower. It did take a little dremel work to get the servo case in.

I would recommend using a cf pushrod if you can work it out. That way the longer pushrod doesnt negate the effect of having the servo about 2 inches further forward. That being said, I used all-thread with dubro ball links.

Yup the rod is too short, and I didn't measure the length of the slot. But I used the recommended servo slot.

Still wondering what is different about my V2 Slick. It balances perfect with plenty room to slide the pack fore or aft without any hassle.
