Bart

just curious why you went for CNC Milling instead of pin-sharp laser cutting?

(i would have gone for milling too easier to sand the "fur" off milling than the carbon off laser cutting)

Start build

Now that the work on the desing is finished its time to cut some wood.
I got the plans printed and have started on the box framework.

The first trouble i had was cutting nice square and straight 5x5mm stringers cause when i tried to cut them the blade kept tracking the grain of the balsa.
Solution was to cut it in multiple phases bij letting the stripcutter go over a 2.5mm sheet, this was the first cut was only half way and then it was straight.

Also have most of the electrics in , stil waiting on the GWS 9x7 3 blade props.
Does annyone know if there are any other 9x7 3 blade props wich look like the deHaviland variable pitch prop ?

More when my CNC-parts arrive.

Cheers,

Bart
