Rough CG

Tonight I tried a rough CG determination.

With batteries, speed controllers, motors and props, the CG is about 26%. I am pretty happy with that.

Following a little misstep I also managed to punch a hole in the top skin of the wing.

Dho, I see the rudder and fin had fallen off when I made the CG measurement. Tomorrow is another day.

Happy New Years

Is it 24% at the root or Mac? Mine fly's way better at 20% MAC but it is just a bit bigger

@ Don it is root-ish By root-ish I mean the wing support was in the area of the nacelles, There is minimal sweep at that point, I took the balance point to the leading edge and divided that distance by the root cord. So it is neither truly root cord nor MAC. I wanted to see if I will need a ton of weight or need to move my batteries. It looks my battery location will work.

I will do a more precise CG later when every thing is covered and installed.

@Wade - What is not to love about Acme products.

When I was living overseas I made a gluing clamp out of rope and scrap lumber. It was labeled the "acme furniture clamp". It made me happy but I am sure it puzzled who ever bought our stuff when we moved.

Also I fixed the hole in the top of the wing sheeting.
