I'm going to add flaps, I sold my 90mm F18 and it came down so so nice with flaps.

I agree! mine is now a belly lander, and I haven't actually taken it out to fly as a belly lander... but i am seriously considering buying another airframe and transferring everything over! This is one of my favorite jets and planes for that matter. I want a brand new airframe, now that I know how to fly this baby, and take much better care of it! I am debating because I really want to buy another dynam meteor, or another lx f-22.... decisions decisions!

The LX F-22 is a great EDF. Lands like a feather every time. Cheaper too. Not to deter you from buying another F-18 because the're awesome as well, but..just sayin'. I have both as well BTW.

I'm sure this information is somewhere in the thread but so many have changed out the motors and ESC's, I can't seem to zero in on the answer I'm looking for. I just received this plane in ARF form with the stock 70mm KV2750 motor and stock 45A ESC.
What would be the best battery choice for this stock setup?

I'm using 2500mAH 25C 4S batteries (GensAce).

I read this entire thread as I just got my Diamond back F18.. I have taken alot of advise here and bought extra items like the CF spar for my model.. I have reviewed all the motor mods etc.. but.. I would like it if some of the more senior members that have done it all on this model could summerize in one or two posts.. ALL the best mods ideas that worked well, from the land gear doors, gear issues, wing mods.. BUT ESP how to add rudders and the actual set up of the harness and set up.. I have a spectrum DX8 and have other aircraft on it, so Im getting better at programing it..

Just use wing spare and change landing gear rods to steal ones look on Tower Hobbies for 3mm rods with clips should make it easy.

Hey I have just finished building this model.. and the first time I opened the landing gear, the ball link on the mains broke!!. the plastic was broken and stripped out.. I dont know what to do with this..

I was wondering if you guys ran across this problem and what you did to fix it.. I know if I call Nitro they will just send me the same crappy parts..

Is there another set of retracts for somebody else that works better..
