In-flight Voltage Balance Indicator
AEO R/C Tech has published their in-flight voltage indicator in Sep.
The 2-4S Li-Po In-Flight Balance Voltage Indicator is designed for the individual cell voltage indication of a 2-4 cells lithium-polymer battery pack through the LED. Beside that, It is capable to indicate low-voltage and cell unbalanced warning signal by the flashing ultra bright LED during the flight. It is an ultra-light solution for voltage indication by making use of surface mount LED technology, which will not loose of user’s convenience in the same time compare to other similar products with LCD display.
The indicator is only 2.3grams (cable and LED excluded),so you dont need to worry it will add too much weight on your aircraft.
LED Port Output: ~4Volts, 300mA Max.very little power exhaust.
Display Resolution: 0.1V
Voltage Accuracy: +/-2%
1．Cell Voltage Meter Function
Once the battery is proper connected, the LED on the device will light up in sequence, which shows the device is initialized. And the LED will start blinking. There are four LED, which are indicating the voltage of the four cells individually as per shown in below picture. They are blinking individually, so you have to observe only one LED at one time to read the voltage of each cell. Hence, it is possible to understand the balance condition to avoid the overall battery pack degrade due to un-healthy cell.
2．Battery Pack Low Voltage Warning
There are four LED supplied.According to the battery balancing principle, the LED will start flashing if any cell of the battery pack reach or fall below 3.5Volts. The LED will flash once and pause a while when any cells reach 3.5Volts. They will flash twice and pause if reach 3.4Volts, and flash three times and pause when 3.3Volts is reached, so on and so far.
