I'm not a fan of Hacker ESC's though. They are slow and mushy, but that is just my opinion. I'm a die hard Castle Creations guy

I'm giving in and upgrading the ESC and RX. The Slick will be down until my new Castle Lite 50 ESC arrives. This should save me 18grams. I should be able to run the servos at 6.0v and with this I need a new high speed RX that can take advantage of the 11ms response time the new setup will provide. I am switching my AR600 to an AR8000x 1.5gram heavier but twice as fast. I am guessing 1 week downtime. I am also upgrading the servo horns to actual 3D ones...lol I guess I want every performance I can get out of this Slick.
The last upgrade will probably be the motor. I love the power of the Eflite Power10 but at 122 vs the Omega 103g....I want to shed that extra weight. Unless somebody can please convince me to stick with the Power10. (save me money-lol) |

love this plane....
![]() Got 4 flights in this morning, thats 7 total on this airframe.. Still trying to get CG and trim just right. I think the HS-65MG in the tail is having some issues and I need to test it out tonight. I am getting much slower movement on the rudder than the other surfaces. Has anyone else had issues with it on the rudder? I've got the ice 50 lite running at 6v from the 3s 1800 Glacier pack and the ailerons and elevator move nicely. Maybe its the pull pull cable? I'll check that tonight too... hmmm |
